Life’s been interesting juggling a full-time teaching career and trying to work on my next children’s book, but it’s finally happening! Learning watercolour techniques over the past year has been a challenge and dealing with the frustration of having to start a whole page of painting over again (due to one slip up), reminds me of my years at uni, typing assignments with a bottle of white-out and a ream of paper at hand. Oh the joy I felt as I finished the last page and tried to convince myself to leave the paintbrushes down! Now it’s time to put my faith in my designer and wait patiently for the first print run.
